A new player in town - Alastair

Yeah I'm talking about Alastair, the new big demon who the boys are up against.
Since I'm a spoilerphob, I know little about the new character, and perhaps I'm wrong, but I still wanted to do some research and try and find some information about Alastair.
Here is what I found:

#1 Alastair: The name is the Scottish Gaelic version of 'Alexander', which is of Greek origin and means 'Protector of Men'.

#2 Alastor: Is a demon, also called the hangman because he is the executor of hell's monarchy. He is sometimes equated with Azazel. He used to be the son of a human Neleus, but he became a lower demon after Herakles killed him and his brother. (translated from German website). Alastor was also used as a generic term for a class of evil spirits.

Note: Crowley, the occultist, was named Edward Alexander, but changed his name to Aleister in reference to Alastor.

I tend to think that Kripke chose the name because of the demon Alastor. What do you think?

I think it's quite interesting that the fandom write 'Alaistair' and maybe is Kripke like always this evil that this is a mention of Alister Crowley =3

I think after the last episode we can say that Kripke chose the name because of the demon =)
